Market hours and prices

U.S. stock exchanges hold their regular session from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, except market holidays. Some days before holidays close early at 1:00 PM.

The first official price of the day is the open; the last is the close. A stock's daily change is measured from the previous close.
